Why Engineers Choose FRP & GRP Systems

A comparative structural material overview. The modern alternative to carbon steel, galvanized iron, and aluminum alloy cable trays.

Corrosion & Chemical Resistance

Impervious to organic solvents, harsh acids, strong alkalines, saline environments, and sour gas (H₂S) emissions common in heavy refineries and coastal operations.

TEST STATUS: ASTM D543 Certified

High Strength-to-Weight Ratio

Equal mechanical loading characteristics to high-tensile steel, yet 70% lighter. Substantially reduces structural support framing costs and simplifies manual field installation.

SPECIFICATION: ASTM D638 Tensile Yield

Electrical & Thermal Insulation

Complete electrical non-conductivity eliminates routing grounding runs. Lower thermal expansion properties maintain layout alignment during high solar exposure cycles in Dubai.

INSULATION: 50 kV/inch Dielectric Strength

Advanced Fire Retardancy

Formulated using premium halogen-free flame-retardant resins. Strictly complies with Class 1 flame spread index criteria, preventing structural combustion progression.

RATING: ASTM E84 Class 1 < 25 FSI

Low Life-Cycle Maintenance

Does not require painting, pickling, hot-dip galvanizing, or cathodic protection programs over time. Offers a maintenance-free, self-sustaining engineering life cycle.

COST INDEX: 0% post-install operational cost

Extremely Long Service Life

Includes high-grade UV inhibitor additives and synthetically surfaced veils to ward off intense solar degradation. Designed to outlast the active factory operational lifespan.

LIFESPAN: Certified 50+ Year Integrity

Precision Pultrusion & Manufacturing Timeline

How we convert high-strength fiberglass rovings and chemical resins into certified industrial cable tray systems.

01
Continuous Feeding

The Pultrusion Process

Continuous strand fiberglass rovings, multi-directional mats, and synthetic surfacing veils are pulled through a chemical resin bath containing proprietary catalysts and UV stabilizers. This ensures complete molecular wetting of the composite matrix prior to forming.

Machine feed capacity: 25 meters per minute
02
Forming & Curing

Engineering Precision

The wetted fibers enter a precision-machined, chrome-plated steel die that is custom-heated. Thermostatically controlled zone heaters initiate an exothermic cross-linking reaction, curing the liquid resin into a solid, reinforced profile as it exits the machine.

Tolerance: Dimensional variance less than ±0.5mm
03
Verification & Standards

Quality Control Benchmarks

Every production batch undergoes structural verification. Profile samples are subjected to NEMA FG-1 loading deflection, ASTM E84 flame spread testing, Barcol hardness measurements, and chemical chamber resistance simulation to guarantee client site longevity.

Testing: ISO 9001:2015 and NEMA FG-1 certified testing labs
